Steal the Style (4th of July Edition): Ryan Reynolds’ Casual Weekend Getup

In honor of the 4th of July, and the awesome extended weekends you gentlemen are surely about to have, here is a Steal the Style perfect for the casual vibes you’ll want to convey in how you dress this weekend. Learning from one of the best-dressed men in show biz today, here is Ryan Reynolds in a casual, laid-back, but still put together outfit:

And here is how to put this outfit together for yourself, at reasonable prices:

SuitSupply Band Collar Shirt ($99): Also known as a Mandarin collar, these are a perfect way to make a button-up shirt more casual, again, perfect for a 4th of July BBQ. It’s hard to tell exactly the shade of Reynolds’ shirt in the picture, though it looks like either a very light blue, or white. We went with white as it’s even  more versatile, and clean. It’s a great summer option, and a staple of a warm weather wardrobe. Comes here in a nice slim fit and a great, comfortable fabric. Usual excellent SuitSupply quality, and free, fast shipping and returns.

J Crew Stretch Chinos ($68): They are garment died, a slim fit, and will have a solid amount of stretch to them. Not to mention the fact that these are lightweight chinos, perfect for the hotter weather you’re sure to encounter this weekend. These things feel like next-to-nothing. If you’re not going to rock shorts, these are the next best thing, and a very close second. It’s like wearing half a pair of pants, if that makes any sense. Also, on a great sale now at just about $40. Cannot go wrong here, and these are just about a perfect match to Reynolds. Cuff them at the hem, and pair them with the white sneakers below, and you’re all set to kill it.

Adidas Stan Smith ($75): When it comes to white sneakers, these are the default. Cannot go wrong here. Sure, some like higher end leather options, but every guy should have a pair of these in his shoe collection. They are a go to, and can be beaten up without feeling too bad. If you’re going to be standing around in the grass all weekend, these are the shoes you want to have on your feet. Go sock-less, or wear no-show socks, of course. Can often be found on sale on Amazon, or elsewhere.

Timex Weekend Chrono w/ Blue Strap ($50): Looks like Reynolds has on a white-faced watch on a blue leather strap. Blue leather is hard to find, but blue nylon is easy. This chronograph option from Timex is one of our favorites of all time, and will looks great with just about anything, especially this outfit. Plus, buy one or two more standalone straps, and this watch can work with almost any outfit on the planet. A great buy and value at this price.

Enjoy the extended weekend, gents! We’ll be back with regularly scheduled posts next week…
