Different people certainly have differing opinions as to the subject of whether or not to wear an undershirt. Personally, sometimes I do, sometimes I do not. In the colder months it often is a good idea to wear an undershirt under a sweater to (a) mitigate the itchiness of some fabrics and, more importantly (b) reduce the need to wash them which shortens the life of most knitwear.
