I can’t recall how, precisely, I stumbled upon the shop An Ivy, but I can say that I am very glad that I did. I can’t tell you much about the brand other than that they are a Danish company founded by a couple of stylish dudes that currently offers the sorts of products you might find in a typical “haberdashery” — namely: ties, socks, accessories, and some more formal products like shirts, and even a suit or two.
Frankly, I am not sure I would buy a suit from such a shop just yet, but their eclectic collection of preppy ties and baseball caps really had me intrigued. I ordered a couple of times and a hat and must say that I was impressed. The quality and details were all there, and overall I would (and plan on!) order from them again. If nothing else, I am quite picky about wearing 3.00” (or 7.5cm) ties, and they are harder to find than you might think. Yet, An Ivy has a whole selection of them. Indeed, their baseball caps look quite nice as well.
In short, if you’re looking for some preppy accessories to add to your repertoire, look no further. I think An Ivy might just be one of the best kept secrets these days. I would not be shocked at all if you started hearing lots more from them in the coming months and years. Just remember, as they say, you heard it here first.
